1. What Cookies Are

2. Authentication Cookies

When you sign in, the Portal establishes an authenticated session. Session cookies allow the server to recognise your logged-in affiliate or staff identity without asking for your password on every page.

Authentication cookies are essential for using protected areas of the Portal (dashboard, wallet, referral tools, support chat, and similar features).

Session-related storage supports security controls such as CSRF tokens for POST requests, flash messages after form submissions, and temporary UI state. These cookies typically last for the session lifetime configured by Oakscroft and expire when the session ends or times out.

4. Referral Tracking Cookies

When a customer visits through an affiliate referral link, Oakscroft may set an attribution cookie (or equivalent identifier) so that an eligible purchase can be linked to the correct partner.

Attribution duration is approximately 30 days unless Oakscroft configures a different window. Referral cookies are operational to the affiliate programme and are not used to sell your personal browsing history.

5. Analytics Cookies

The Portal provides first-party analytics views for approved affiliates (for example performance charts based on programme data stored on Oakscroft systems). These reports rely primarily on server-side event and order data rather than third-party advertising cookies.

Your browser may also store a local theme preference (light/dark) used only for display on the Portal.

6. Browser Settings

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and control site permissions (including notifications). If you disable essential cookies, you may be unable to remain signed in or complete secure actions.

7. Managing Cookies

• Clear site data for affiliate.oakscroft.org in your browser settings to remove stored cookies;
• Sign out of the Portal to end the active session;
• Disable browser push notifications for the site if you previously enabled them;
• Use private browsing modes if you do not want persistent local preferences.

8. Third Party Cookies

Depending on configuration, identity or infrastructure providers used by the Portal (for example authentication or messaging services configured by Oakscroft) may set their own cookies when those features load. Review those providers’ policies where applicable.

The Portal may load common front-end assets (fonts, icon scripts, charts) from CDNs; such requests can create standard technical logs at those providers. This is for delivering the interface, not for selling ads.

9. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when the Portal’s technology or programme needs change. The version and “Last Updated” fields on this page reflect the current published revision.
